Longtime British comic creator, raconteur and comic tutor Kev F Sutherland is currently running a Kickstarter for a new edition of his debut graphic novel, Findlay Macbeth.
The new edition, featuring brand new halftone artwork, has already hit target, but if you may just want to check it out. The original edition, released in 2020, was great fun, and hopefully this new edition will allow Kev to reach a wider new audience.

The new edition of Findlay Macbeth will be published ahead of the release of his next Shakespeare adaptation, Romeo and Juliet, previously announced.
For those who missed it, Findlay Macbeth offers Shakespeare with a twist, setting the bards tragedy in 1970s Scotland, mashing it up visually with Mike Leigh’s play Abigail’s Party.
If you support the project, you’ll be able to pre-order a signed personalised copy of the new edition for just £10 plus postage, and it’ll be yours before the summer is over.

“Realising how much better my book could look (yes even better than it already did) I have revisited Findlay Macbeth and am improving and enhancing all its artwork for a new edition,” Kev explains.
“Though I love my first graphic novel, I’ve long thought its artwork pages could use a little something more, and now they’re getting that. I’m creating a half-tone layer for every page of this 130 page graphic novel and I hope you agree they take it to a new level.”

Kev F. Sutherland is probably best known today for his Kev F’s Comic Art Masterclass for kids and his bonkers, extremely funny Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre show. He’s written and drawn several comic adaptations of Shakespeare since publishing Findlay Macbeth: to date these are Hamlet Prince Of Denmark Street, The Midsummer Night’s Dream Team, and Richard The Third. Previously, he has written and drawn for BEANO, Doctor Who Magazine and Marvel UK.
