AMC Networks is going big with the season two premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, which will screen exclusively on Sky Max and NOW from Friday 4th October in the UK.

The six-episode second season stars Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride and follows all eleven series of The Walking Dead, based on the bestselling comic by Robert Kirkman, featuring, for most of its run, art by Charlie Adlard, as well as The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which became available to Sky and NOW customers in spring 2024.
The first season, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, follows Dixon’s departure from The Commonwealth as he washes ashore in France, raising the ire of a splinted but growing autocratic movement centered in Paris, and endangering a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement.

Season two picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favourite characters Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet (Anne Charrier)’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol stars Reedus, McBride, Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney, and is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.
Katie Keenan, Group Director of Acquisitions, Sky said: “It’s brilliant to continue the expansion of The Walking Dead universe available exclusively on Sky and NOW, with the brand-new series of Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol.
“”We’re delighted that UK customers will be able to tune into Sky Max or stream on NOW weekly, in line with episodes premiering in the US, meaning they can stay up to date on this electrifying second chapter of Daryl Dixon.”The spin-off has already been renewed for season 3, before season 2 has even aired.

The Walking Dead: 20th Anniversary Box Sets

The long-running, Eisner Award winning comic book series The Walking Dead first launched in 2003 from Image Comics and garnered critical acclaim and an escalating sales track-record before Hollywood picked up the hot IP and the series was adapted from TV by AMC in 2010. The same year, Kirkman teamed up with David Alpert to launch the multi-platform entertainment company, Skybound Entertainment, which would expand his-and others’-IP beyond comics into other mediums.
The Walking Dead has since gone on to become a pop culture phenomenon inspiring everything from hit video games, novelisations, merchandise, and a multitude of multimedia spin-offs across the walker universe. The series has sold over 45 million copies across multiple formats and has been translated into 21 languages globally. It remains the quintessential Dystopian graphic novel horror story and arguably the most successful zombie story of all time.
Last year, Image Comics released three 20th Anniversary limited edition box sets of the comic, Volume One collecting the original black and white trade paperback volumes 1-8 (featuring artwork by Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard) of into one affordable package. Volume Two collects Volumes 9-16, Volume Three, Volumes 17 – 24.
