Previously self published independently in black and white in the UK, there are a number of differences between the British Book 3 and American Book 3, David tells us. UK comic shops such as Forbidden Planet have sold out of #1, but #2 is still available.
“It’s bigger, for a start!” David tells us. “The British Book 3 ran to 24 pages, not including the cover, and mostly black and white, with some colour pages. The US Book is 30 pages not including the cover pages – and all in colour.
“I wasn’t happy with the original book,” David reveals, “and decided to take the best panels from it and then create new artwork and page layouts for the new Antarctic Press Book Three.
San Antonio-based Antarctic Press, comic-booking since 1985, incorporated in December 1984, has published some big hits like Ben Dunn’s Ninja High School, Warrior Nun Areala (Check it out on Netflix- #SaveWarriorNun), Fred Perry’s Gold Digger, and over 5000 other creator owned comic titles.
