Dutch writer and artist Typex is giving a talk about his biographical graphic novel of the great master, Rembrandt (recently published by independent UK publisher SelfMadeHero) at Waterstones Covent Garden on Thursday 20th June.
The novel, which depicts the artist’s colourful life and paintings, was commissioned with the support of the recently reopened Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
The talk is being chaired by broadcaster and champion of international literature Rosie Goldsmith and is supported by the Dutch Foundation for Literature and the Netherlands Embassy in London.
Typex will also be attending the second East London Comics & Art Festival (ELCAF) on Saturday 22nd June, which takes place at York Hall, Bethnal Green. He is one of a number of creators with work published by SelfMadeHero who will be signing books, including I. N. J. Culbard (The Shadow Out of Time; At The Mountains of Madness), Rob Davis (Don Quixote), Glyn Dillon (Nao of Brown), and David Hine and Mark Stafford (The Man Who Laughs).
