2000AD writer John Wagner has launched his new official website – and is marking it with the chance to win some fantastic Rok of the Reds merchandise featuring the work of Dan Cornwell.
The site also features biography and webshop too, where you can find some exclusive bargains on books (UK orders only at present) such as The Bogie Man, Button Man, Rok of the Reds, and more.
Conceived, designed and managed by Graeme Small, the initial content on the new website at johnwagner.co.uk includes the first part of ‘My Life in Comics‘, spanning John’s early years working for DC Thomson, as well as the first of a regular series of competitions, the first the chance to win a jigsaw created from one of Dan Cornwell‘s fantastic pages from Rok the God.
The Wentworth jigsaw puzzle, crafted in wood, features one of supremely-talented Dan Cornwell’s craziest images from Rok the God (on special sale in the shop), as the world’s first alien footballer is elevated to godhood.
In future John hopes to add a forum to the site, for news, features, feedback and interesting snippets.
John should need no introduction to most downthetubes readers, but for those unfamiliar, he’s perhaps best known as co-creator of fan favourites Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog and many more. John has also written Doctor Who, Batman, Star Wars, Boba Fett and other classic comic strips.
John is also creator of the original graphic novel, A History of Violence, now an Oscar-nominated film by David Cronenberg.
