ComicScene Issue Three

The third issue of the award-winning ComicScene is on sale now, in selected high street newsagents and all good comic shops (Thursday 25th April).

This issue features an The Art of Ian Kennedy exclusive on the new book, now on general release, the final part of a series on the history of Marvel UK, a look at the new Cor!! and Buster Humour Special from Rebellion, and interviews with writers Jody Houser and Roy Thomas.

Plus there’s a look at Batman in the 1950s, War of the Realms, a look forward to Portsmouth Comic Con next month, Game of Thrones, Avengers: Endgame, independent comics, the Misty-inspired Bite Me! anthology (reviewed here on downthetubes), Pat Mills Last Word – and strips “Whackoman” and Part Two of “Our Land“.

The magazine can be ordered from any newsagent or comic shop, WHSmith, McColls, Easons and the new online shop on GetMyComics, where you can also order comics from the UK and the US.

Earlier this month, ComicScene won the Yancy St Award, announced at Edinburgh ComicCon, for Best Specialist Publication, nominated alongside Starburst and Full Bleed.

The magazine has also launched a fortnightly Podcast on iTunes, Spotify and on SoundCloud – and has a news website at comicsflix.org
