Bam! Comic Art & Zine Fair coming soon to Bath

BAM! Comic Art and Zine Fair 2019To celebrate Small Press Day on the 13th July in the UK, there’s another event on the day in the heart of Bath with 30 plus independent creators of comics, zines, art and more. The Bam! Comic Art & Zine Fair will be hosted again by the great folks at the Komedia Club in Bath and the show will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on the day and entry is completely free.

BAM! is very proud to be taking place in the brilliant Komedia club in Bath, located in the heart of historic Bath and home to tons of exciting live events. It’s Bath’s leading live entertainment venue, hosting over 400 events per year, in the beautifully restored Grade II listed former Beau Nash cinema, often working closely with Bath’s many festivals, including the Bath Comedy Festival, The Bath Festival, the Bath Children’s Literature Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, and the FilmBath Festival.

The founder of downthetubes, John works as a comics editor, writer, as Creative Consultant on the Dan Dare audio adventures for B7 Media, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Working in British comics publishing for over 30 years, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Star Trek Magazine and Babylon 5 Magazine. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War and “Dan Dare”. He’s the writer of “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz, published on Tapastic; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood for digital comic 100% Biodegradable.
