Marvel’s WandaVision heading to Disney+ this year?

WandaVision will be the first Marvel Studios’ series to hit Disney+, rather than The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which halted production in the spring as the Coronavirus Pandemic resulted in shutdowns across the film and television industry worldwide.

WandaVision, trailed during this year’s Emmys show in the US, stars Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany as their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, Wanda Maximoff and Vision, and looks set to arrive on the streaming network by the end of this year.

The show, “coming soon” to Disney+, in which the two super-powered beings living ideal suburban lives suspect that everything is not as it seems, takes place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, set after the events of 2019’s Avenger’s: Endgame.

Since Paul Bettany’s Vision was presumed dead after the events of Avengers: Infinity War at the hands of Thanos (his death is referenced in the trailer), at this point it’s unclear what exactly has brought him back for the events of the show.

We’re sure all will become clearer once the new series, directed by Matt Shakman, with Jac Schaeffer as head writer, debuts!
