Beano Studios bring Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! to cinemas nationwide

Half term cheer for BEANO fans! Beano Studios has announced the first theatrical release of Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! distributed by Generation Media – including a sneak peek at an as yet unaired episode.

Six hand-picked episodes of “Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! On The Big Screen” will be screened across the UK and Ireland during the October half term 2020.

The project should prove a welcome boost for cinemas still open, with many sadly closing their doors as the film industry struggles to survive the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Many cinemas had re-opened over the summer when restrictions were eased after the first lockdown. With new major film releases either pushed back or moved straight to digital premiere, several UK cinema chains announced plans to either close temporarily, or scale back operations for the foreseeable future.

However, although Cineworld and Picturehouse are closing completely, the Odeon chain is has just reduced opening times in some locations.

The “Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! On The Big Screen” program includes the Season Two opener, “Beat the Bus”

The Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! episodes will air back to back in a 70-minute long screening, which will also include bespoke interstitials featuring jokes and songs to get kids laughing and singing along in between episodes.

Join Dennis & Gnasher along with his fearless friends Rubi, JJ, Pieface and his pet potato Paul as they get up to their own hilarious brand of mischief and mayhem in specially chosen episodes – including the season opener, “Beat the Bus”, plus “Bathmaggedon”,“P Factor”, “Spud-U-Love”, “Things Get Chilli”, “Molar Power” and a sneak peek at the as yet unaired episode, “Thumb Wars”.

“Spud-U-Love”

Vanessa Andreis, Director of Franchise Planning and Partnerships at Beano Studios said: “We’re very excited that our much-loved Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! Season 2 will be heading to cinemas across the UK and giving kids their first cinematic experience with their favourite Beano characters.

“Bringing Dennis & Gnasher’s adventures to the big screen will not only promise a blamtastic’ day out for families, but also introduce a new generation to the wonders of big screen entertainment.”

Greta Bisetto-Donelan, Director of Content at Generation Entertainment said: “We are incredibly proud to be working with Beano Studios and some of the top exhibitors in the market, to bring such an iconic brand to the big screen.

“As we continue to expand our content distribution capabilities, cinema remains one of our key priorities. This is where our clients can showcase their brands and content, in a quality environment, to an engaged audience.”
