Inventure Cloud, a new web space for collaborative invention which aims to help creators transform your ideas into physical products, is celebrating its launch with a comics-inspired supercompetition.
Inventure Cloud is one of the 14 startups chosen from a pool of over 4000 projects to be accelerated and invested by Lanzadera, a startups incubator in Spain with the aim of enabling people to develop ideas into products you can actually touch and enjoy; from prototyping, to funding, production and distribution.
The competition challenges creators to devise a superhero or supervillain character, then encourage friends to vote for their creation, much like the current LEGO competition whose particpants include ace artist Kev Levell, which will see the eventual winner get their LEGO creation offered for sale.
Although the original concept suggested they were asking for 3D models, entries so far include line art entries.
The winner will receive a high definition 3D model of the superhero/supervillain, a WACOM Cintiq, a WACOM Inkling and a 3D-printing voucher, so it’s definitely something worth checking out.
