“I’m talking about my career and about creating a Billy the Cat comic strip and sketching aliens as part of the Museum’s ‘Invasion’ exhibition,” says Nigel. “I’ve got a couple of days of workshops during the half term as well.
“I’ll also be giving away tons of unwanted comics and graphic novels on the Sundays.”
Kirkleatham Museum is currently staging Invasion!, an exhibition of creatures, costumes and props from everyone’s favourite science fiction films which runs until 3rd November. The exhibition brings together a plethora of famous and infamous scary monsters from Alien, Lost in Space, Mars Attacks!, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, Predator, Robocop, Star Wars and The X-Files.
Admission to Invasion! is £2.00 per adult/ £1.00 per child (Under 5’s free). Kirkleatham Museum is at The Pavilion, Redcar TS10 5NW. Opening times: Tuesday Sunday 10am 4pm last entry 3.30pm. More info on the exhibition here
