The team behind the brilliant Doctor Who-comics inspired fanzine Vworp Vworp! are ramping up teasers for the fourth issue of the title, sharing the amazing variant covers in advance of opening pre-orders later this month.
Vworp Vworp!, named after the TARDIS sound effect created for Doctor Who Monthly/Magazine, is a fanzine celebrating Doctor Who in comic strip form, as well as Doctor Who artwork in general, and the history of Doctor Who Magazine. New issues materialise once every blue moon, but trust us, they are well worth the wait.
Edited by Colin Brockhurst, published by Gareth Kavanagh, the latter the brains behind Cutaway Comics, every issue of Vworp Vworp! is a labour of love, and Issue Four, long “in the works”, looks to be no exception, offering interviews with numerous Doctor Who comic creators, including the late Bill Mevin, who brought Doctor Who to life in TV Comic, and Countdown and TV Action artist Harry Lindfield who, to my knowledge, has rarely been interviewed about his work.
For those of you unfamiliar, perhaps prisoners of the Trods for the past few years, then back issues of Issue Three are available, and Volume One and Volume Two are available as a reprint compendium, offering updated and new editorial. Why are you still here?
