Titan Comics have released more details about Doctor Who: Empire of the Wolf, their special Doctor Who comic series marking the 25th anniversary of the Eighth Doctor, played on TV and in Big Finish audio dramas by Paul McGann, as well as the eleventh anniversary of the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), plus the return of the iconic companion Rose Tyler (Billie Piper).
Following on from the huge success of their Doctor Who comic crossover adventures, starring the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctors, Titan’s special comic event sees the Eighth and Eleventh Doctors team up with Rose Tyler to defeat a brand-new villain.
Trapped in a parallel universe, Rose Tyler believed her adventures with the Doctor were over. Now, pulled by a mysterious energy into this reality, she must work with two Doctors to end the tyrannical rule of the warmongering Bad Wolf Empress.
This new series, launching 3rd 3rd November 2021, will also see the return of the critically acclaimed creative team behind the Doctor Who comics, with Eisner-nominated writer Jody Houser (Stranger Things, Spider-Man), artist Roberta Ingranata (Witchblade), and colourist Enrica Eren Angiolini (Warhammer 40,000) all taking part in this unique and exciting project.
“It’s always a blast to get to dig deeper into elements of the Whoniverse that we’ve only seen a bit of,” enthuses Jody, “or haven’t seen in a while. It’s such an expansive playground to explore and tinker with.”
Doctor Who: Empire of the Wolf #1 will debut on 3rd November 2021 with variant covers by David Busian, Abigail Harding and Christopher Jones, as well as a photo cover featuring a brand-new character appearing in the upcoming TV series.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.

Is this likely to be hitting WHS like the recent Dr Who Comic which has a UK price and UK numbering?
Presumably it will be reprinted in the Doctor Who Comic, sold in UK newsagents.
The reason I ask is the version in WHS is printed in the US and appears essentially the same as the US version other than issue number and barcode (and indicta at a guess)
It reminded me of the pence Marvel All Colour Comics of the 1970s.
