Microids teases new “Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo” game with new trailer

Games company Microids has just released a brand new trailer for Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo, a game freely inspired by the eponymous movie, introducing the thriller’s main characters for the first time.

The new trailer offers the opportunity to discover the characters’ motivations – and their relationship at the core of a new kind of narrative experience, where confusion and doubt play a key role…

Crafted entirely with in-game footage, this new story trailer introduces the writer Ed Miller, a car accident survivor suffering from intense vertigo. Convinced he just lost his wife and daughter in the crash, Ed starts therapy and reluctantly begins confiding in a psychiatrist, Doctor Julia Lomas. But Julia will have to fight against Ed’s reluctance to dive deep into his memory and find out the hidden truth.

Players will also have the chance to follow the Cerro Lake’s sheriff’s investigation, as he tries to solve this mystery.

Microids describe Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo the game as a a true introspective experience that will challenge players’ own sense of sanity.

Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is being developed by Pendulo Studios (Runaway, Yesterday Origins, Blacksad: Under the Skin) and will launch 16th December 2021 on PC. The game will come out in 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles and Nintendo Switch.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.

Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.

He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
