Never mind ABBA, look who else is getting back together forty years later! And SHIFT comic magazine has them…

Yes, it’s true! A comics industry partnership forged in fire, well, all right, at Marvel UK, is getting back together after nearly four decades… Unfortunately, some pop group stole the thunder out of this important news item but, but what could be more exciting than a brand new one off story by Simon Furman (Death’s Head, To the Death and so much more) and Barry Kitson (Azrael, L.E.G.I.O.N, Spider-Man, The Avengers), working together for the first time since Transformers, back in the 1980s?

Coming to the SHIFT Winter Special at the end of the year – more details soon – this will be a smashing treat… and publisher GetMyComics has been teasing us with all sorts of hints of even more goodies to come in that.

Plus, there’s been a hint that Barry is working on something else for SHIFT for next year, too!

“We are honoured that Barry Kitson will be working with us,” says SHIFT publisher Adrian Clarke. “Having worked with DC and Marvel on such titles as Azrael, L.E.G.I.O.N, Spider-Man, The Avengers plus British titles like 2000AD, Transformers, etc, Barry will feature on a standalone story in our Christmas issue … and then something pretty exciting next year!
