One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero franchise created by the artist ONE, initially as manga but later as anime, telling the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch – but seeks to find a worthy opponent after growing bored by a lack of challenge due to his overwhelming strength.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure began as a manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, originally serialised in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, before moving to anime, games, and a live action film directed by Takashi Miike, starring Kento Yamazaki as Josuke, released in Japan in 2017.

The God of High School is a South Korean manhwa, first released in 2011 as a webtoon written and illustrated by Yongje Park, that’s since been adapted into a mobile game and an original net animation short. An anime television series adaptation by MAPPA launched last year.

Also from South Korea is Tower of God, another manhwa released as a webtoon written and illustrated by S.I.U. that has also been developed into a mobile game and an anime television series adaptation by Telecom Animation Film, which also launched last year. Crunchyroll licensed and simulcasted the Japanese broadcast version of the anime for its streaming service.
