Shaun the Sheep Movie Trailer debuts

Aardman, the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run have released the first trailer for the upcoming Shaun the Sheep the Movie, due for release in Spring 2015.

This first teaser trailer to mark the start of Shaun’s big screen adventure is one hundred times more fun than the trailer for Postman Pat (out next month), a movie that from its dreadful trailer looks so wrong-footed, so out of kilter with the source material, you have to wonder just how many people might get fired if it proves  a box office flop (as I hope it does, frankly).

British Skin Foundation "Shaun the Sheep' Custom ComicStill, at least the new Paddington movie (out in November) shows promise, with a cast that includes Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman and the new Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi.

In addition to the long-running Wallace & Gromit newspaper strip for The Sun (which has now ended), Titan Magazines previously published a Shaun the Sheep Comic (as well as special Shaun the Sheep projects such as this comic for the British Skin Foundation). Perhaps they’re eyeing a tie-in with this new film. We look forward to any news.
