Ricky Rouse Has A Gun, written by London-based Jorg Tittel and drawn by John Aggs, is a madcap title getting some right royal treatment from publisher SelfMadeHero in the form of a limited, gold-plated hardback UK edition only be available from selected comic shops across the UK.
An inventive and action-packed thriller, infused with social and political satire, in the book a US army deserter runs away to China and finds employment in the Fengxian Amusement Park which is modelled on ‘Western’ culture, and takes on the role of the main mascot, Ricky Rouse. Both a satire on US-Chinese relations and a parody of Western entertainment, it comes out with its action comedy guns blazing.
London-based Jorg Tittel has written, produced and directed plays, films and video games while John Aggs, who has produced work for both children and adults, and is also currently creating The Silver Silhouette webcomic for the Modelinia blog.
