The latest issue of the digital anthology comic 100% Biodegradable (Issue 14) is on sale now, wrapped in an awesome cover by Brett Burbridge. Here’s the full rundown, and yes, I’ll admit to some bias for this marvellous title, given editor Dave Hailwood‘s support for my “WarWorldz” project, which includes the strip “Death Duty” I’m co-writing with him drawn by Brett. It’s been great fun to work on this so far, and the team, which includes letterer Ken Reynolds, have been fantastic throughout.
A collection of the first 48-page “Death Duty” story is in the planning stages and we’re already throwing around ideas for the second SF action adventure story.
100% Biodegradable has been described as “the kind of smart script and stylish art that would feel right at home in the pages of the galaxy’s greatest comic!” by Alex Thomas, Pipedream Comics, “A ‘must-read’ for all lovers of sci-fi and fantasy comics” by Haydn Hades on A Place To Hang Your Cape and “Good old fashioned sci-fi escapism, and the art of Tony Suleri is worth the entrance fee alone”by Andy Oliver on Broken Frontier.
Issue 14 of the staggeringly thrilling 100% Biodegradable includes: a love-struck demon races against time to save his species in Steven Fraser (Futurequake, Wasted) and Edward Norden‘s (Torso Bear, Murky Depths) “Time Begins”; a misplaced rockstar struggles to find his feet in a hostile universe in Tomislav Tikulin (Analog, Asimov’s Science Fiction) and Sebastijan Camagajevac‘s “Rock Rider”; mankind flees Earth to escape a zombie outbreak in David Hailwood and Dave Snell‘s “Last Breath”; “Moths and Demons” by Scott Melrose and Adam Kindred; and Travis and Rourke confront psychotic trillionaire ‘Masumo’ in the action packed finale to John Freeman (Judge Dredd Megazine, Crucible), Dave Hailwood and Brett Burbridge‘s “Death Duty”.
All this, and more! The digital anthology is 36 pages, full colour. 15+ age rating, due to excessive gunfire and explosions, with the odd decapitation or two thrown in for chuckles.
