Starblazer was translated into French and published in France throughout the 1980s in various digest sized bandes dessinees albums which also reprinted other British material. Starting in the title Force X (Force Xbeing the French name for 2000AD’s MACH One) the Starblazer reprints then moved into Collection Super Force before beginning a long run in the title Antares. Other British strips in Antares included Valiant’s The Leopard Of Lime Street

The final run of FrenchStarblazer stories was in the title Janus Stark. Since these titles were anthologies Starblazer did not always make the cover and, when it did, the original DC Thomson covers were normally redrawn into a four colour format. The cover of Force Xissue 1 was a redrawn version of the cover of Starblazer issue 5.

Some of these individual issues were also combined into special albums such as the first Collection Super Force Album which reused the cover from Collection Super Force Issue 2, which was a redrawn version of issue 21 of British Starblazer.
