Clive Barker was born in Liverpool in 1952 but now lives in Beverly Hills, California. His earlier books include The Books of Blood, Cabal, and The Hellbound Heart. In addition to his work as a novelist and playwright, he also illustrates, writes, directs and produces for stage and screen.
His films include Hellraiser, Hellbound, Nightbreed (adapted into comics by Alan Grant and John Wagner and drawn by Jim Baikie) and Candyman.
The project announcement comes just as Hellraiser returned to US cinemas for the first time in 37 years, this time in 4K, with performances earlier this month, and the impending release of the Hellraiser: Revival game by Saber Interactive for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival delivers a totally new Hellraiser story starring Aidan, who is on a journey to save his girlfriend from Hell and the realm of terrors ahead. Using the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration puzzle box, unlock mysterious powers as you face dark cultist worshippers, sex-crazed deviants, and infernal monstrosities.
