New Cinebook Titles in July: “Outlaws” wraps, “The Bank” continue

There are two new titles from Cinebook out in July, building further in their massive catalogue of carefully selected translated bande dessinée and other overseas comic stories. This month sees the release of the final volume of Orbital spin-off, Outlaws, by Sylvain Runberg and Eric Chabbert, and a fourth volume of The Bank by Pierre Boisserie & Philippe Guillaume, with art by Malo Kerfriden.

Cinebook has worked to become the premier publisher of the Franco-Belgian Ninth Art in English in markets dominated by American superhero comics and Japanese manga since 2005. Publishing top-selling Franco-Belgian authors and series in English, they select series and individual titles based on a number of factors in order to please a wide range of readers, such as geographic settings, protagonists’ age and gender, historic themes, genres, and more.

Here are their July 2026 releases…

The third and final volume of an Orbital spin-off. Kristina Swany, a rebellious young Human, discovers the hidden side of the Intergalactic Confederation – crime, misery and corruption.

Kristina, Zachary, and Olmay have managed to set up an interstellar luxury vehicle trafficking ring and now lead a proper criminal gang, the Trident. The young Earthling’s future is far from secure, though. Her men hate her because of her origins, Olmay is turning increasingly tyrannical and bloodthirsty, and external threats abound, from the survivors of the Cartel of the Peaks who still want her dead to the authorities who are after everyone!

Following events in The Cartel of the Peaks and The Shores of Midaluss, in the crucible of the looming confrontation will be shaped the Kristina we meet in Orbital

Sylvain Runberg is a star of bandes dessinée. His international career spans over fifty series and one-shots, including adaptations of the Swedish novel series Millennium for both the French and US markets, as well as penning completely new comic-format adventures for Lisbeth Salander.

With series such as Uchronie – New Byzance and Nova Genesis under his belt, Eric Chabbert came to BD after studying business and going into advertisement, but the world of comics was undeniably his first love.

“From the looks of it, this is a promising new series,” enthused P.P.O. Kane, over at Jildy Sauce on the release of The Cartel of the Peaks. “Eric Chabbert’s intricate, Piranesi-like artwork makes a vivid impression. There is a strong sense of there being a world, or rather a galaxy and even a universe, beyond the milieu in which the action takes place… This is definitely a series to watch.”

Several generations of a family of bankers weather the tumultuous events of the 19th century.

The colossal profits generated by Haussmann’s great work have made both branches of the Saint-Hubert family extremely rich. Despite the sometimes bloody, sometimes tragic secrets that poison this generation, a certain rapprochement seems to be in the works – motivated, of course, by money.

A partnership aimed at taking advantage of Napoleon III’s military adventurism. But a major, devastating war with Prussia is in the making, and on its heels, the events of the Paris Commune will seal the fate of some of the siblings …

Philippe Guillaume is a financial journalist who also reports on comic books and writes scripts for them, while Pierre Boisserie is a prolific and versatile author, especially at ease with realist comics, thanks to his extensive general knowledge. Pierre is best known for Dantes, a series he also created with Guillaume, published digitally in English by Europe Comics.

Julien Maffre studied bandes dessinée in Angouleme. After The Bank, he teamed up with his own brother to create the unusual, but critically acclaimed, Western Stern, not yet available in English.

“The brutality, both physical and emotional, is a sharp reminder of how powerless we all are in the face of privilege,”says Simon Chadwick from The Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain. “It’s what makes The Bank such a page turner.”

Previously released in this series by Cinebook are: The Bank – Volume 1 – The Waterloo Insider; The Bank Volume 2 – First Generation 1815-1848: The Emigres’ Billion; and The Bank – Volume3 – The Baron’s Accounts.
