Hibernia offers limited second edition of “The Tower King” from Eagle

On sale now from Hibernia Comics, celebrating the recent 35th anniversary of new Eagle 35th anniversary is a new edition of their fantastic collection of the classic story, The Tower King, written by Alan Hebden (Commando, Meltdown Man) and illustrated by José Ortiz (13th Floor, Creepy, Eerie).

The Tower King - Sample Art“The Tower King” tells the tale of Mick Tempest and his struggles to survive in a London plunged into medieval anarchy by the complete loss of electricity. The tale is brilliantly written by Alan and the artwork by Ortiz is among his best.

Hibernia released a first edition of this collection last year, which quickly sold out, and it’s a fabulous gem of a story, much admired and fondly-recalled. Unlike many British comic strips, it’s also a complete tale (even if the finale does seem a bit rushed).

• The Tower King is 76 pages plus cover, soft cover, square bound, B&W/Greyscale, offered in very limited quantities of these are available, and can be bought by mail order only, at the Comicsy website

Hibernia say to please allow two weeks for delivery – delivery in most cases will be quicker, but there can be occasional delays
