Thought Bubble has announced they’ll be welcoming comics writer Warren Ellis as a special guest to this year’s convention in Leeds (22nd – 23rd September).

Warren will be giving special keynote talks on each day of 2018’s con.

You can find out more information on these appearances here.

Warren’s attendance is for talks only (which you’ll need a convention ticket to attend), and will not include any signing sessions or meet-and-greets.

Thought Bubble has announced over 70 guests for this year’s event, and has recently added creators such as Paul Allor, Emma Beeby, Bengal, Lee Bermejo, Lee Garbett, Rian Hughes, Alex Maleev, and Babs Tarr to their line up.

The details of this year’s 2000AD art and writing competitions at the event are now live on their website, so if you’d like to be in with the chance of getting paid work in the galaxy’s greatest comic then head here.

On the academic side of 2018’s Thought Bubble, as we reported earlier this week, the call-for-papers for this year’s Comics Forum is now open, celebrating a decade of comics academia, and if you’d like to present at this year’s conference then you have until Monday 2nd July to get your submission in.

Convention tickets are on sale now and can be bought online via the Festival website, or in person at Travelling Man Comics & Games stores.

This year’s convention has free entry for under 12s and over 65s, with complimentary passes available for carers, and discounts for those attending in cosplay/fancy dress.

You can buy tickets through the Friends of Thought Bubble initiative, which helps fund the Festival’s educational and outreach work, and gets you lots of exclusive goodies!

• This year’s Thought Bubble Festival takes place from 17-23rd September, with our centrepiece convention running on 22-23rd September 2018 in the heart of Leeds City Centre. Full ticket details available at thoughtbubblefestival.com/tickets
