Blimey! The digital anthology Aces Weekly, has reached Volume 57, available now, and if my calculations are correct, (admittedly, I’m a bit crap at maths) with each volume running over seven weeks since launch in October 2012, that means it’s soon going to hit its 400th issue!
If a British print comic achieved that in this day and age, I’m sure there would be even more bunting on the streets than there is already this weekend.
Published by ace comic artist and writer David Lloyd, the latest volume of this subscription-funded, creator-owned anthology offers some superb, platinum-quality storytelling from some fabulous creators, including Fer Calvi, Anthony Smith, Feli White, Jok and Santullo, Franco Colt, Hailey Renee Brown, Marcello Bondi, Katie Cunningham, and many more!
Offering an extraordinary mix of the supernatural and the serious, the nutty and the nuttier, and… well, you get it, I’m sure.
Each volume of Aces Weekly comprises up to 150 pages, including Extras, for just £1 per week, in any currency, coming to you directly at the touch of a button in seven parts over seven weeks, and from one volume to the next.
400 issues? Blimey! Congratulations to David, the whole Aces Weekly team, and all the creators who have contributed strips over the past ten years!
