British Comics Crowdfunding Spotlight: Soviet super agents, Death defying Vikings, and more!

There are several comic-related crowdfunding campaigns from British creators on the go right now, in addition to projects we’ve recently highlighted in more detail on downthetubes…

Can the VYPER team stop a Soviet terrorist attack launched at the heart of LA? Find out in this 64-page comic – Vyper: Crimson Dawn from ace creator, Dan Butcher.

Sloane and the Vyper team face an apocalyptic terror as twin rogue soviet soldiers plan to unleash terror on US soil, all with the help of an unwilling Cold War scientist.

Threatening the life of the scientist’s estranged daughter, this commie confederation race to unravel the mystery of her identity in order to force him to do their bidding.

Vyper: Crimson Dawn project has already hit target, but there’s still time to back it here

Perhaps because it’s on a newer crowdfunding platform Martin Simpson’s NORD, an epic Viking tale of a warrior king who battles Death, is still a little off target – which is a shame, because as usual, the project looks incredible. Check it out here on Crowdfundr, where publisher Soaring Penguin Press are seeking backing.

Martin’s story centres on a Viking King who has lost everything, a devious plot hatched by the trickster God Loki and a quest to defeat Death itself!

There’s less than 24 hours to go to back Daughters Of Albion #2, a supernatural fantasy comic by writer Denis Phan and artist Roy Allan Martinez, supported by a terific team at the rebranded British independent publisher Immortal London.

A demon stalks London on a ferocious quest for vengeance, powerful beings reunite and Hashani’s dreams lead her to a new ally… the first issue was great fun, the book and covers look really stylish, and the team are bursting with enthusiasm and talent. Give it a look here.
