Here’s a checklist of all Marvel Comics 2014 “Revolutionary War” limited series, with links to relevant articles, reviving Marvel UK’s characters. The series was created by Andy Lanning and Alan Cowsill.
Revolutionary War is set at an undefined point after the original Marvel UK stories published in the 1990s, and after the mysterious Illuminati-styled MyS-TECH organisation, were defeated in one Earth-shattering climactic battle.
But they were wrong. Mys-TECH has returned, and their presence threatens not only the world – but the entire universe!
In a parallel with the real world events at Marvel UK following the company’s collapse and absorption by Panini, S.H.I.E.L.D have crossed the Atlantic and Nick Fury has cherry-picked the heroes he wants to work with – such as Captain Britain and MI-13 – and S.H.I.E.L.D has shut down the rest.
Now, Marvel UK’s greatest heroes must band together for the first time in 20 years to stop a long forgotten enemy. But are they too late?
The series, which launched in January 2014, features art and stories from a great range of British comic creators, including some who got their first breaks into the comics business at Marvel UK.
Andy and Alan are the writers on the opening and closing books of the series (titled Alpha and Omega), drawn by Richard Elson, and the project is edited by Stephen Wacker.
