Slingsby Bros Ink! first printing of their Carol Day Showcase sold out in two weeks, leaving a number of fans frustrated that they were left without a copy – but a new edition is available now from Book Palace Books.

I was kindly sent a copy of this beautifully curated compendium, and it’s definitely a delight to behold.
The good news is that this ace independent publisher hates to disappoint a Carol Day fan, so they have printed another edition of the book, printed at a larger size but the same price as the first, is now in stock at Book Palace Books, and the pre-orders will be shipping out this coming week.
For this second edition -– entry point to the incredible artwork of David Wright – Slingsby Bros. Ink! also printed a limited number of hard cover copies, which will come with a limited edition print by David Roach, only available with the hardcover.

If you missed it the first time around, this book presents, for the first time, the full range of Carol Day art, from Wright’s first story to his last, with examples from every story. Inside are 136 outstanding Carol Day examples from across Wright’s run to display, all reproduced from the original art to present the flavour of the strip and the magnitude of Wright’s achievement.
Head over to bookpalace.com to see available ordering options, and don’t forget that today, 16th March 2025 is the cut off to pre-order the mighty Last of the Line, the story book featuring life size reproductions of David Wright’s newspaper strips.
Copies will be available for US fans in the Slingsby Bros. Ink ebay store in two to three weeks for US customers, and you can reserve a copy now by sending them email via this page on their website
