With just a month to go until Christmas, if you’re looking for an affordable gift for the Doctor Who fan in your life, can we just gently remind you about Pets in Time, edited by Ian Wheeler? This smashing book, raising funds for the RSPCA, comes packed with superb contributions from actors, writers and other talented folks from various corners of the Doctor Who universe.
Released earlier this year, contributors include Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Colin Baker, Louise Jameson, John Leeson, Katy Manning, Wendy Padbury, and Sarah Sutton, to name but a few

“We really want to sell the remaining copies so we can get a decent sum to the charity so please do consider it,” asks Ian who is also a contributor to downthetubes. “It’s not twee or over-sentimental – there are some really powerful pieces, many funny and many with a a real emotional punch. It’s a good read. A tenner (all in) for a full colour book isn’t too bad I reckon.
“If you’re wavering, and I know money is tight at the moment, I hope you’ll give it a chance! Especially given the talented folk who contributed or assisted.”
