The new Doctor Who Magazine, Issue 610, on sale today in all good newsagents, leads with a terrific monster of an interview with former Doctor Who producer Philip Hinchliffe, conducted by Benjamin Cook.
This is very much a don’t miss issue for such focus on the making of 1970s Doctor Who alone, although, as usual, there’s plenty more to enjoy, too. Crammed with incisive thoughts on the longevity of the character and the series’ success, this is an unmissable chat with the only surviving producer of “Classic” Doctor Who, celebrating his 80th birthday this year.
It’s always a brave step for the magazine to give such focus to behind the scenes material like this, but the result – a fascinating interview with one of the people who very much assured the show’s long term success, alongside series stars such as Tom Baker, is very much worth it.
Don’t miss this if you grew up watching Doctor Who in the 1970s! A gem!
