Hot on the heels of my post wondering what Rebellion had planned for time travelling hero Adam Eterno, writer Stephen Jewell and artist Lew Stringer drew my attention tweets by Simon Furman about a little project he’s working on for Rebellion with 2000AD artist Simon Coleby…
Due for release on 15th August, The Vigilant is to be an all-new one-shot 48-page US format title written by Simon Furman with art by Simon Coleby – and others.
Classic British comic characters featuring in the title, presumably following up on events in last year’s Scream and Misty Special, will be the (drum roll, please): Adam Eterno, plus Leopard From Lime Street, The Steel Commando, Dr. Sin, Pete’s Pocket Army and Blake Edmonds (Deathwish), who team up to face Von Hoffman and Dr. Mesmer.
In Simon’s own words: “The Rebellion-verse begins here!”
We’re a couple of months off information being available through Diamond Previews, but Simon is at Margate Comic Festival this weekend so perhaps he’s at liberty to say more there, or follow him on Twitter for more news.
Yes, we’re excited!
