Humble Bundle has partnered with Fantagraphics to offer a limited-time only comprehensive bundle of Love and Rockets, one of the most beloved indie comics of all time – and purchases will support Global FoodBanking Network.
In 1982, Fantagraphics Books published the first issue of the groundbreaking underground series, Love and Rockets by the Hernandez brothers (Gilbert, Jaime, and Mario), and the series has since gone on to become the publisher’s flagship title, a monumental work of graphic fiction.
Here’s just some of what’s on offer here from Humble Bundle…
Collected under the umbrella of L&R, the series is comprised of two separate ongoing stories: Gilbert chronicles the colorful inhabitants of the fictional Latin American town of Palomar, while Jaime follows Latinx friends and sometime lovers Maggie and Hopey and their circle of friends in the punk scene of the fictional Californian town Hoppers.
Over the course of L&R’s multi-decade run, its characters have aged in real time, lending these stories a depth and weight that few literary works achieve. The Hernandez brothers continue to release new issues of Love and Rockets.
This Humble Bundle collection has the whole story going all the way back to 1982, including Amor Y Cohetes, Angels and Magpies, and the start of the latest volume, Love and Rockets Vol. 1 IV.
Experience one of comics’ most enduring series, and support Global FoodBanking Network with your purchase, this limited-time offer already raising over £1000 already for the charity.
The Humble community has contributed over US $200,000,000 to charity since 2010, making an amazing difference to causes all over the world.
• As of today, Friday 1st July 2022, you have just over 20 days to take up this Humble Bundle offer
Pay less to get fewer items, or pay extra to give more to publishers, Humble, and charity.
With thanks to Dan Whitehead for the heads up
