Creating Comics: DC Comics Paul Levitz celebrates 50 years in the comics business

Forbidden Planet TV recently posted a great interview with DC Comics writer, editor and executive Paul Levitz, celebrating his half-century in the comics business.

“Paul was very pleased with how it turned out,” host Andrew Sumner told downthetubes. “I think there’s a lot of stuff in this one that fans will enjoy!”

One of Forbidden Planet’s oldest friends (so old, in fact, that he was trading fanzines with the comic store chain’s founders, back in the early 1970s), legendary DCComics president and publisher Paul Levitz joined Andrew Sumner at Forbidden Planet TV to discuss his long association with Forbidden Planet.

Along the way of course, he also chatted about his 50 hugely influential years at DC, his working relationship with a dazzling array of industry greats, from Wally Wood and Steve Ditko to George Perez, Dave Gibbons and Christopher Nolan, his epic runs scripting the Legion of Superheroes and the Justice Society of America and his creation of Batman Family and Birds of Prey favourite The Huntress.
