Coming this December from the Treasury of British Comics: the Misty Winter Special 2020, with terrific cover art by Slaine artist Simon Davis.

Its release date presumably with a nod to the Christmas terror tale readings of author MR James, this Special is a separate one shot to the previously announced Misty and Scream Special on sale next week, and, inside, two new chilling tales are offered to make you shiver in the winter months…
“Infection” by Anna Savoury and V.V. Glass is a disturbing tale about how far people are expected to conform to societal standards no matter how warped the rules become.
Anna Savoury is an award-winning comedy writer and stand-up comedian whose shows include Tales from the Satanic Library, which offered a night of stand-up about love, life, libraries and terrible, terrible occult curses.

V.V. Glass many credits as illustrator and cover artist include work for Titan, 2000AD, Oni Press, and MTV, and currently working on a creepy fantasy for younger readers, The Last Witch, due for release in 2021 with Boom Studios
“Home for Christmas” is a harrowing ghostly home-invasion story dealing with the sins of the past, written by Lizzie Boyle and drawn by David Roach.

Lizzie Boyle is a writer and editor (and a town councillor, too!), who also makes comics alongside artist Conor Boyle at Disconnected Press. She was one of the contributors to the 2018 Scream and Misty Halloween Special, also published by Rebellion, copies still available, and last year’s Cor!! Buster Humour Special.
David Roach’s many art credits are legion, including work for 2000AD, Doctor Who Magazine, and much more. He’s also a hugely successful author and archivist of comics, whose books include the brilliant Masters of British Comic Art, published by Rebellion, and Masters of Spanish Comic Book Art, published by Dynamite.
• The Misty Winter Special 2020 is on sale in all good newsagents and through the Treasury of British Comics and 2000AD web shops from 2nd December 2020 and in comic shops comic shops (Diamond PREVIEWS code OCT201537) from 16th December 2020
