Award-winning Italian artist Giancarlo Caracuzzo has just launched a Kickstarter for his latest art book, Wild Whispers, a new collection of colour illustrations created in a variety of techniques (watercolours, acrylics and colour pencils), which explore the ancestral bond between the female figure and the animal world.

Giancarlo Caracuzzo is an illustrator, storyboard artist and comic book artist, whose work has appeared in Orson Scott Card’s Formica Wars (for Marvel), Jonah Hex (DC), Random Acts of Violence (Image Comics), and other American publications.
Here in the UK, I had the pleasure of working with him on several projects when I was working for Rok Comics and Print Media Productions. Many European publishers have featured his work, too, including Les Larme D’Opium and Hercule Potiron for Editions Delcourt in France.
The campaign offers a number of exclusive rewards, in addition to the art book, including combinations of original artworks and the book, and limited special editions.

“Have you ever dreamed of seeing the feminine essence dance with nature in a timeless embrace?” asks Giancarlo. “Wild Whispers is my new artbook, a collection of 40 original illustrations created with watercolours and acrylics, where sensuality and harmony intertwine in a delicate dialogue between woman and animal.”
Many images are inspired by Liberty Art Nouveau, and Art Decò style, which are great artistic passions of Giancarlo’s.
“Each image is a fragment of visual poetry,” he explains, “a female figure merges with the presence of an animal in an encounter of gazes, gestures, and invisible bonds. Panthers cloaked in shadow, deer whispering secrets, foxes with mesmerizing eyes… Each pair tells a story, a quest for balance between nature’s primal strength and human grace, transforming nature into pure visual poetry…
“This is probably the most ambitious and challenging project of my career,” the accomplished artist feels.
“Supporting the campaign means supporting an independent work of art, and your support will be essential to bring this artistic vision of mine to life.
“Get ready to be part of this artistic journey. Because every whisper of nature deserves to be heard… and transformed into art.”
