Pocket digest comic Sentinel by Alan Holloway and Ed Doyle started out as a fun project, but has sort of snowballed into a popular, extremely well regarded publication – and another sword and sorcery edition, “Kazana The Slayer”, in full colour, is now in the works.
“Our first four issues have been a great success, on a small scale,” says writer Alan Holloway, “so we wanted to do something special to round off year one, and here it is.”
Kazana The Slayer – the fifth Sentinel comic – is a full colour sword and sorcery yarn, painted by Sentinel co-creator Ed Doyle, with Kickstarter options for a standard edition and variant cover edition by Mark Montague.
Kazana The Slayer was originally published in A4 format over a decade ago, so writer Alan Holloway rewrote the script whilst Ed chopped it up and formatted it to fit the Sentinel digest format.
“The result is a great adventure with plenty of blood and action that is the perfect way to round off the year,” Alan enthuses – and Sentinel fans agree, because the project was very quickly funded.
Offering a range of perks, including prints and t-shirts, if you remember Starblazer comic, then Sentinel is a title to check out.
