The latest issue of Dave Metcalfe-Carr’s comic anthology, Shrieeek! Is seeking funding on Kickstarter – and this time out it’s even bigger than previous issues – and in full colour.
Featuring an alluring cover by Aly Fell (creator of the stunning graphic novels, A Trick of the Light and The Kissing Gate), the Shrieeek! Full Colour Special is a double-sized full colour issue, featuring strips by creators such as Chris Askham, Pablo Barbieri, Pete Howard, Sergio Ibanez, and many more – and Dave himself, of course.

“Shrieeek! is normally 32 pages and black and white apart from covers,” says Dave, whose previous comic projects include four issues of his horror anthology to date, and titles such as Being a Girl, England Made Me and Modern Life is Rubbish.
“This time around we’re 64 pages big and every strip is in full colour,” he continues. “I’d originally planned to do an 80+age colour one off, but I’ve had enough strips in to do two colour specials.”
You can back the first Shrieeek! Full Colour Special, which smashed its initial modest target in under thirty minutes, here on Kickstarter.
The anthology – a mixed bag of horror, mystery and weird stories guaranteed to put your teeth on edge and make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up – includes several stories, including “The Rise and Fall of Jeannie Hepburn” by Dave Metcalfe-Carr and Nigel Lowrey, a 1970s based tale of old Hollywood, in which a ghost writer visits a star of 1950s screen siren to talk about her life; and “Silver Dagger” by Izzy and Paul Barlow – a tale of the perils of medieval courtship.
Also included are these diabolical delights, eye catching art teased on Kickstarter…

The usual creepy crop of Rewards is also on offer, of course. David is planning to publish his second Shrieeek! Full Colour Special around Christmas 2025. Meanwhile, check out the Kickstarter for the first here.
