Comic writer and artist Lew Stringer has more of his original artwork up for auction for collectors to obtain on eBay – the auction closing on Sunday night (16th March 2025), so get your bids in fast!
There’s plenty to choose from, but his recent “Social Media Daleks” strip – a “Daft Dimension” for Doctor Who Magazine Issue 612– jumped out at us straight away!

Also up for sale is a “Suicidal Syd” page from VIZ comic from 2009, a “Macho Man” strip he drew for Marvel UK’s Secret Wars comic back in 1986, a Captain Scarlet parody, probably for the humour title, UT, written by Kev F Sutherland and drawn by Lew from the 1990s, plus a page by the late great Jimmy Hansen that he drew in 1990 for Buster comic featuring the popular “Ricky Rainbow” character.

Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine and Overkill for Marvel UK, Babylon 5 Magazine, Star Trek Magazine, and its successor, Star Trek Explorer, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics; and has edited several comic collections and graphic novels, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”, and Hancock: The Lad Himself, by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page.
He’s the writer of comics such as Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs”, with Dave Hailwood.
