The sun is shining, summer’s a-coming – although, meteorologically speaking, not just yet, we’ll admit. But regardless, in preparation, DC Thomson have revealed the covers for this year’s Dandy and Beano Summer Specials, featuring covers by Steve Bright.
What could be better than no school for ages? Your summer holidays filled with fun from the Beano Summer Special 2021, that’s what! Packed full of comics, jokes and puzzles, it’s perfect for Beano fans of all ages!
The Dandy Summer Special is back, too! Rain or shine, indoors or outdoors, the Dandy’s favourite characters will keep you entertained all summer long! With loads of awesome activities, it’s the only holiday souvenir you need!
Over on his blog, artist Lew Stringer tells us that alongside classic reprint, there will be some new art too though, as he was commissioned to draw an introductory half page illustration for one of the sections. “Other artists have drawn new pieces for other chapters,” he notes, “Apparently there’s one new story too, but I’ve no idea who features in that.”
