Scratch Comics crowdfunder for the latest issue of its SF title, Claudia Christian’s Dark Legacies, featuring a host of well-known SF show actors as “Character Models” for its cast, has hit its fundraising goal – but there’s still time to back it.
Rewards include the option to pick up not just the upcoming third issue, but grab Issues One and Two, either in print or as PDFs, for those arriving late to this hard hitting, pulp action sci fi comic series set in the far future, written by Claudia Christian and Chris McAuley with art by Glenn Fabry.
Pitched as “Babylon 5 meets The Expanse”, the cast of the book uses, with full permission, the likenesses of Claudia Christian, Patricia Tallman, Bruce Boxleitner and Peter Jurasik of Babylon 5 fame as “Character Models”. They’re joined by Bill Mumy, best known for Lost in Space – and now, guest stars Nicola Bryant, who played Doctor Who companion Peri Brown, award-winning comedy writer and novelist Nev Fountain, author of several Big Finish Doctor Who adventures.
Colourist Matt Soffe and letterer Robin Jones round out the talented comic creators bringing the book to extraordinary life.
In Dark Legacies #3, after previous shocking revelations, tough as nails investigator Jessica Steele (Claudia Christian) has no time to even contemplate the personal repercussions as she is thrown headlong into an intergalactic war.
However, on a desperate mission to find a way to beat the invaders she bumps into an old flame that may change the course of her life forever…
Rewards on the book include a past issue bundles, a variant cover by Hal Laren, a set of art prints, featuring cover art by Alex Ronald, Staz Johnson and John Tyler Christopher, and more.
