Penelope Blake is back thanks to Sloth Comics, along with the ghost of her pirate grandfather, a very special parrot and the enigmatic (if somewhat incompetent) adventurer she protects.
Collecting further episode of the “regency punk” adventure web comic, set in a quiet and fictional town in early 19th Century non-fictional England, in Penny Blackfeather Volume 2 – In High Spirits by Francesca Dare, readers will discover training for adventures isn’t as fun as it sounds. So when a snow spirit asks for help retrieving its stolen magical cloak, Penny jumps at the chance to drop her classes and help her new friend. Meanwhile, a mysterious ‘gentleman’ checks in at the local Bathhouse Hotel as the adventurer’s past starts to catch up with him.
Can Penny find the cloak in time? Who are the White Knights and what, or who, are they after? Will Penny’s mother manage to drag her down to live in London before she can save the day?
Penny Blackfeather is the long-running creation of Francesca Dare, a visual effects artist from London. When she’s not hitting movies with rocks to make them shiny, she also makes greetings cards and comics. The strip has been published online since 2012.
Sloth Publishing is an independent comic book publisher based in London, which translates titles from the continent and signs UK talent within the genres of adventure, humour, fantasy and action.
