Our best wishes to the British Comics-oriented Boys Adventure Comics Blog, which is celebrating its Tenth “Birthday” this week.
Run by Richard Sheaf, a contributor to downthetubes and a writer for various other publications down the years, including Comic Scene and others, the blog offers an eclectic mix of snapshots of British comics from the past, as well as photo reviews of recent events and exhibitions, especially those hosted by London’s Cartoon Museum.
Top favourites include items on Original Comic Art, Marvel UK, 2000AD, Dan Dare and Eagle, publisher DC Thomson and Commando, as well as spotlights on the work of artists such as Brian Bolland and Dave Gibbons.
So if you want to reminisce about Marvel UK’s short-lived Slimer comic, check out a list of DC Thomson “Heritage Characters” who have been revived in the pages of Commando, or the amazing work of artist Eric Parker, then this is a site you should definitely have bookmarked by now!
