A spectacular panel from a strip drawn by Dave Windett for a Special issue of Sector 13
Ace 2000AD-inspired zine Sector 13, edited by downthetubes contributor Peter Duncan, has a Special issue in the works for release next year – and has put out a call for illustrators for text stories and other items.
The Special, format-busting edition of Sector 13 is planned to be released shortly in 2021, after Issue 7, and Peter has had the inspired idea of running strips that might feature in a Mega City One newspaper, some parodying some well known real world comic gems.

Contributors to the Special lined up so far include Simpsons Comics artist Dave Windett, all creating faux newspaper strips that might appear in a Mega City One newspaper.
“Dave did an amazing job on his strip,” Peter says.
“Breaking all our rules, we also need some ‘single image’ artists to help out along with some prose articles and more of these newspaper strip parodies,” Peter says.
