Fans of Gerry Anderson’s Terrahawks, the much-loved 1983 series about a task force protecting the Earth from extra-terrestrial androids and aliens, are having a great 2021 – and there’s much more to come, including the first-ever Terrahawks Day!
Terrahawks has just launched on the BritBox streaming service, where it’s part of both the BritBox Old School Classics collection of classic kids TV and the BritBox Out Of This World collection of fantasy, adventure and SF. It’s also been remastered in stunning HD – and fans can see what that looks like on a new set of DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
Cool new stuff is also available or on the way – including a recently released set of 24 brand-new full-cast audio drama episodes from Big Finish – and a Zelda mask!
Yes everyone’s favourite alien supervillain has inspired a limited-edition collectors’ mask, which you can buy for your Halloween fright-fest from late October.
You can check out the official Gerry Anderson store for these goodies or, if you’re looking for a cool new Terrahawks t-shirt, pop over to retro outfitters Truffle Shuffle, who have just brought out a brand-new unisex lightweight tee showing the famous Terrahawks craft.
Is that all? Not quite. Jamie Anderson and the team at Anderson entertainment have two more big projects under way. Terrahawks is currently being reimagined for a 21st-century audience, with a new series on the way soon. And ‘Ten-Ten’ – the Terrahawks code for ‘Affirmative’ – has inspired Terrahawks Day, a celebration of all things Terrahawks on – you guessed it – 10th October 2021. Watch out for some big announcements very soon!
