Doctor Who Magazine 598, on sale Thursday, features a massive interview with the Fifteenth Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa, who makes his debut in Saturday’s special episode, “The Giggle“.
The bumper edition also includes a reprint of “The Star Beast” by Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons, the story that inspired the first Fourteenth Doctor Special, and a comic strip that follows on straight after that TV tale; and a free, giant double-sided poster.
Benjamin Cook has interviewed Ncuti for the latest issue, an epic, in-depth, all-encompassing 7000-word chat! “We talk sexy Doctor, vulnerable Doctor, and… dancing Doctor?” he teases.
In “The Giggle”, screening on BBC1 in the UK and Disney worldwide, the giggle of a mysterious puppet is driving the human race insane. When the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) discovers the return of the terrifying Celestial Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris), he faces a fight he can never win.
We’re promised plenty of twists and turns in the story, with online speculation running rampant as to how the Doctor’s battle with the Toymaker will play out. (Watch out, there are, potentially major spoilers out there right now).
Doctor Who Magazine 598 also includes Bernard Cribbins sadly final interview about his time on Doctor Who, playing Wilfred Mott, the grandfather of Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble, and chats with Michelle Greenidge (who plays Ruby Sunday’s mother, Carla) and Angela Wynter (Cherry).
Plus, there are in-depth looks at The Giggle, a guide to the upcoming Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road, a set report from Wild Blue Yonder, an interview with director Andrew Morgan, and the latest “Daft Dimension” from Lew Stringer.
The extras mean there’s an additional price to this issue – £10.99. Next issue will cost £7.99, but Issue 600 is again £10.99 – so you may want to consider a subscription to save a bit of money!

Bet Mills and Gibbons don’t get a penny for that reprint.
