Canadian actor film maker Anthony D.P. Mann is the latest guest to join the line up at Scardiff in October, a brand new horror expo co-produced by Fantasy Events, horror author Wayne Simmons and Shock Horror Magazine.
A one day event taking place at the Mercure Holland Hotel Cardiff on Sunday 27th October 2013 comic guests already announced include Razorjack creator John Higgins and publishers Markosia, Hellbound Media and Bearded Skull Comics will be in attendance.
Anthony D.P. Mann is quickly making a name for himself on the horror scene, breathing new life into the gothic horrors of yesteryear – and he’s a comics fan to boot.
Anthony will be at his own stand on the day and his Terror of Dracula movie will be the main feature on our Sunday Night Fright Night Movie Showcase; and will be interviewed by Wayne.
He starred as Sherlock Holmes in the 2010 film Sherlock Holmes and the Shadow Watchers, and his 2012 feature Terror of Dracula (in which he appears as Dracula) won praise from the Bram Stoker family, and was promptly acquired for distribution (World Wide Multi Media).
As part of the promotion for that film, Athony published four mini-comics, produced by various artists, each introduced (in EC comics style) in a one-page work by Robert A Neri Jr. These comics explore sub-plots involving secondary characters in the film, and offer additional insight into the horrors inflicted upon them by Count Dracula. You can view them here for free on Anthony’s web site.
His follow-up film The Ghostkeepers, an original haunted-house thriller celebrating the old dark house genre, is set for release in September 2013 (Reality Entertainment).
