If you’re a fan of the original Thunderbirds or the re-imagined Thunderbirds Are Go, then bookmark the trade site Licensing.biz, because they’ve just announced a month of features, interviews and exclusive news will celebrate 50 years of the Gerry and Sylvia Anderson-created franchise.
To mark the 50th anniversary, Licensing.biz has teamed with ITV Studios for a month-long celebration, offering a wide range of features, brand profiles, interviews, product spotlights and exclusive Thunderbirds news – including an update on the long-awaited Thunderbirds Are Go magazine from DC Thomson – which recently advertised for a reporter and designer.
“50 years ago, the Tracy family first graced TV screens across the globe, today the Thunderbirds crew enjoys a licensing portfolio that reaches even the furthest corners of the industry, appealing to kids and adults alike,” the site announced yesterday.
“Celebrating both the classic Thunderbirds series and the latest reboot, Thunderbirds Are Go, we will feature interviews with ITV’s Trudi Hayward and Steve Green as well as Spin Master, Kokomo, DC Thomson and Vivid as we take a look at the evolution of this iconic brand.
“We will also the be the destination for the latest Thunderbirds news as it breaks, shining the spotlight on the hit kids series, its achievements over the last 50 years, and what it has in store for the future.”

He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
