Aces Weekly contribuor Marc Jackson is auctioning a page for a new comic of his that will feature in the online anthology comic from March 2015 for charity.
The auction is to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice (a local Macclesfield, Cheshire hospice) on behalf of his friend Sarah Shackleton Lamptey who, sadly, lost her six-year battle with cancer just last week.
Marc tells me the bidding, via this Facebook page is up to £100 and closes at 5.00pm on Tuesday 23rd December.
Bids can be made on the page or by direct message.
“Sarah was lively, fun and full of personality, so I thought using my comics to raise money was the perfect fit,” he says.
Marc created the comic book character Man From Space, the star of a graphic novel published by Markosia Enterprises earlier this year, and Lenny the Lettuce, who has featured in The Beano.
Man From Space features in his local newspaper, Macclesfield Today, and he also has a comic strip in the Brooklyn NYC paper Red Hook Star Revue. He also run cartoon workshops in and around the Macclesfield area.
