MCM Belfast Comic Con To Launch In June 2014

Placeholder - Paint PotsJune 2014 will see MCM bring its celebration of sci-fi, games, comics, anime and cosplay to Northern Ireland for the very first time, with the inaugural MCM Belfast Comic Con.

The announcement comes hard on the heels of last week’s news that MCM Expo is also launching a show in Dublin next year, as well as expanding its MCM Scotland Comic Con and MCM Manchester Comic Con events.

Commenting on the new show, which will be held on 7-8th June at Belfast’s Kings Hall Complex, MCM co-organiser Paul Miley said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our popular comic con brand to Belfast next year. After we announced our new Dublin show, Northern Irish comic book fans were asking when they were going to get an event …well, here it is!

“With MCM shows now covering the whole of England, Ireland and Scotland, there’s never been a better time for gamers, comic collectors, sci-fi enthusiasts, movie buffs and fans of geek culture in general to check out the comic c0n scene.”

“As the recent record-breaking Scotland Comic Con proved, there’s an increasing appetite for MCM comic conventions at the moment,” added MCM co-organiser Bryan Cooney. “We’d like everyone to come along and experience one for themselves, and with our ever-expanding roster of top quality events, that’s never been easier.”
