After a successful event last summer, Megacon returns to Carlisle’s Richard Rose Academy at 1.00pm on the afternoon of Saturday 17 August 2013 with its same selection of book, comics, gaming, and cosplay.
Megacon uses the enormous atrium of the modern Richard Rose private school which is located on a main road some 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre. Airy and with plenty of natural light, the Richard Rose atrium has plenty of room for the books, comics, gaming, and other trader stalls as well as guest tables for signing and sketches and the school’s café/tuckshop.
Organised by a team of employees of the Waterstone’s shop in Carlisle town centre, Megacon is an expansion of the comics and gaming evening events that the shop runs and which became too large for the shop itself. Guests currently scheduled for the event include artist Gary Erskine.
Tickets are currently available at Waterstones Carlisle, £5 in-store or over the phone on 0843 290 8217. They will also be available on the door on the day for £6.
